Preschool Teacher Associate Part Time
$13.00-$15.00 per hour
The Creative Center for Young Children, a fine art focused Early Childhood Program, in Downtown Des Moines is seeking an energetic and career minded teacher associate to join our program. We are seeking a professional who would like to work in a small group setting with our 2 - 5-year-old children.
Minimum requirements:
- 16 years old.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- One year of experience caring for children in a group setting.
- CDA Credential or willingness to enroll immediately.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Lead Teacher with classroom duties and tasks.
- Engaging and interacting with children through direct care and supervision.
- Assisting with Creative Movement Class.
- Initiating and carrying out transition activities with children.
- Snack prep for family style meals.
- Attend monthly paid staff meetings and ongoing paid training.
- Assisting and encouraging life skills with the children that leads to increased independence.
