Tekberry is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator to join our client, a leading lab within a prestige University's Department of Psychology and Neurosciences. As a Tekberry W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (Research Coordinator) will support a multidisciplinary neuroscience research project examining brain development from infancy through adulthood. This position involves a mix of technical, administrative, and participant-facing responsibilities, including MRI acquisition, behavioral testing, data processing, and lab organization.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with a strong interest in psychology, medicine, neuroscience, or childhood development. Prior experience with scanning infants and children is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and assist with research studies examining brain and perceptual development.
  • Acquire and analyze MRI, behavioral, and imaging data across participant groups (infants, children, adults).
  • Prepare, process, store, and ship biological specimens accurately under established protocols.
  • Receive, process, and log samples in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Track and enter sample processing data into databases; maintain accurate records, including master subject logs.
  • Recruit, schedule, run, and compensate human research participants.
  • Code behavioral data, generate stimuli, and program experiments for imaging studies.
  • Assist in data maintenance, statistical analysis, and preparation of figures and reports.
  • Support scientific writing and presentation of study findings.
  • Maintain lab stock and equipment; manage chemical inventory and safety records.
  • Provide administrative project support, including ordering supplies and preparing materials for IRB reviews.
  • Work safely under EH&S guidelines with potentially biohazardous biological specimens.
  • Coordinate late-night or weekend MRI sessions as required by study timelines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Pre-Med, Neuroscience, Psychology, or a related scientific field (preferred).
  • Prior laboratory or research technician experience required.
  • Experience working with MRI acquisition and/or child and infant participants strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and team collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities under minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable working flexible hours, including occasional late-night and weekend sessions.

Work Schedule:

  • Primarily Monday Friday, 7:00am 4:00pm, with flexibility depending on study needs.
  • May include evening and weekend MRI sessions.
