Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Childhood Assistant Teacher or Lead Teacher to join our team and play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 3 years to 5 years during the hours of 2 pm to 5:45 pm. If you are committed to creating a nurturing and faith-based learning environment while incorporating the wonders of nature into daily activities, we want you to be a part of our team!
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Plan and implement faith-based and nature-inspired curriculum, fostering a love for the environment and spirituality.
- Create a safe and supportive atmosphere where children can explore and learn about the natural world.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and play areas.
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers regarding children's progress and daily activities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and enriching experience for all children.
Qualifications:
- Some college, Associate, or Bachelor's degrees in Early Childhood Education or related field are preferred for an Assistant Teacher or Teacher. Must meet requirements of DHS Rule 3.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting. (at least one year is preferred)
- Knowledge of faith-based education and a strong affinity for nature-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
