Position Summary The Volunteer & Administrative Coordinator is a part‑time position responsible for recruiting, supporting, and retaining volunteers while providing essential administrative and operational support to the organization. This role plays a key part in strengthening community engagement, expanding outreach to immigrant communities, and ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day coordination of programs and activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, culturally responsive, bilingual in Spanish and English, and deeply committed to serving immigrant families. Recruit, onboard, and orient new volunteers. Match volunteers with appropriate programs and activities. Provide ongoing communication, support, and appreciation initiatives. Track volunteer hours and prepare brief monthly reports. Assist with coordinating volunteers for events and special projects. Administrative Support, Social Media & Communications Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations (scheduling, data entry, document organization, and internal coordination) Maintain organized records related to communications, outreach, and program activities Develop and implement a simple monthly social media content calendar. Create and schedule posts across platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.). Design culturally responsive graphics using tools such as Canva. Share program updates, community resources, and event promotions. Track basic social media metrics and report monthly growth. Assist with newsletter content or email communications as needed. Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Centro de Apoyo Comunitario Qualifications Strong commitment to serving immigrant and multicultural communities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing social media platforms for an organization. Experience working with volunteers or community members. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar). Bilingual (Spanish/English or other languages relevant to the community) strongly preferred. Familiarity with community‑based or nonprofit organizations preferred.
