Responsibilities:

  • Lead welding operations and oversee the work of team members to ensure high-quality production standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new and existing employees on welding techniques and safety protocols.
  • Inspect finished products for quality assurance and adherence to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues that arise during production.
  • Maintain an organized and safe workspace by following industry-standard practices.
  • Collaborate with management to optimize workflow and increase efficiency.
  • Perform other tasks as needed to support the production team.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of welding processes and technologies, including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with welding safety practices and equipment.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.

 

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Welding certification(s) preferred.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

· Regularly required to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in non-climate-controlled environments.

· Ability to perform repetitive movements and work in confined spaces.

· Must be able to use welding equipment, such as welding machines, grinders, and hand tools.

· Strong work ethic: Willing to work flexible hours, including some weekends, as needed.

· Must adhere to safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
