To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new £5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. And in 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the  reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built.

We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our !

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

We're building out a team in the United States to help drive Runna forward, leveraging exciting partnerships to propel us to new heights. Join us and be part of a passionate team dedicated to empowering runners everywhere.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an exceptional, proactive, passionate and driven individual who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build new partnerships with brands, race providers and more to grow our presence in the United States!

This position will sit within the US Partnerships team, and will support and contribute to maintaining and building out Runna’s existing partnership offering as well as securing new opportunities. This includes brands, race providers and registration platforms. You will have a strong focus on partners — ensuring they LOVE working with Runna and that our channel is driving amazing results. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building relationships, analyzing data, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

If you’re at the start of your career, hungry to get stuck in, or have a proven track record building relationships and delivering an exceptional standard with partners, we want to hear from you!

As a Partnerships Associate, your role will include:

  1. Maintaining and developing Runna’s existing partnership offering (50%):
    • Working closely with Rav (US Partnerships Lead) to nurture existing partners, in turn ensuring our users receive the best experience possible. This will include working alongside existing partners to improve and/or create new strategies for races, events and runner engagement – in the build-up and execution.
    • Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams such as product, marketing, content to to align partnership initiatives with marketing campaigns, product launches.
  2. Identifying and securing new partnership opportunities (40%):
    • Work with the US Partnerships team to identify and discover new exciting opportunities in the US that align with our strategic goals. The process spans from sourcing all the way through to implementation and integration (where relevant) and owning the partnership end to end.
  3. Helping the wider Runna team (10%):
    • As noted, we are still a small team so from time to time, you will be required to get involved and contribute to other areas of the business. This includes supporting Lou (US GM) and the events and ambassador teams to host flagship brand activations (e.g. NYC Marathon weekend), collaborating with ambassadors and occasionally working with product teams to help develop new features in the app.

Where this role could take you:

The Partnerships Associate is a brilliant opportunity for someone who is entry-level and interested in partnerships, as well as events and ambassadors. It offers the chance to learn how partnerships contribute to the growth of a company as well as enhancing the overall offering. The role will provide you with the knowledge and skillset which will enable your career to evolve in multiple directions across the business side of our organization. As one of the first roles in the US, it holds potential to grow in any number of different directions.

Requirements

If you don’t quite meet all of the below skills, we’d still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you. You can apply directly below or contact us if you’re still unsure.

A degree isn’t required for this role, but if you don’t have a degree, we do want to see some experience for this role such as personal projects, internships, or other work experience.

About you:

  • You have either just graduated with a strong passion to build your career within a partnerships team (bonus points if you’ve worked in the fitness industry!). Proven ability to build strong, meaningful relationships with our partners and internal stakeholders
  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands-on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude).
  • You’re organized, efficient and can execute at pace. You can manage lots of spinning plates and prioritize effectively.
  • You care about the small things and have high attention to detail.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You’re a fast learner, see feedback as a gift and constantly think about how you can improve.
  • You’re fun, personable and love running!
  • You’re Boston-based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
