Eschweiler and Potashnik, LLC is currently seeking a Patent Attorney with a background in electrical or computer engineering for full‑time employment. The Patent Attorney will be involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications for a number of international high‑tech clients. In general, the position involves many aspects of patent law, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). Industry experience and/or an advanced technical degree is a plus. Eschweiler & Potashnik, LLC (Cleveland, OH) is seeking a Registered Patent Agent to assist a licensed patent attorney in assessing whether electrical engineering related inventions are new and innovative and therefore eligible to be patented. The position requires a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field; foreign degree equivalency accepted) and authorization or limited recognition to practice matters before the USPTO. The role will utilize research and analytical knowledge in electrical engineering, patent law, and language, and assist in guiding individual inventors or companies through the required process to obtain a patent and evaluate potential infringement. Eschweiler and Potashnik, LLC is currently seeking a Patent Engineer with a background in electrical or computer engineering for full‑time employment.
