Job Title: Patent Litigation Associate

Position Overview:
Seeking a full-time Patent Litigation Associate for its Burr Ridge, Illinois office. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in patent litigation or those with a strong academic background in a technical field. The firm offers extensive hands-on experience and opportunities for domestic travel, as well as the chance to work on cutting-edge patent litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle all aspects of patent litigation, from case initiation through trial and appeal.
• Conduct due diligence and patent portfolio assessments.
• Perform technical analysis and create claim charts.
• Manage discovery, including document review, depositions, and expert preparation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Participate in trial preparation and assist in trial strategy and execution.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and legal arguments.
• Engage in client communication and maintain client relationships.
• Travel as needed for depositions, court appearances, and case-related activities.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in patent litigation, or recent law school graduates with prior patent experience (e.g., internships, clerkships, or relevant coursework).
• Technical Background: A strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
