  • Patient Interaction: Greeting patients, checking them in/out, collecting payments, scheduling appointments, and handling patient statement calls/emails.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintaining a tidy front office, preparing/scrubing patient charts, auditing check-out documents, reviewing appointments, and scanning documentation for billing and medical purposes.
  • Financial Duties: Establishing payment plans (with approval), posting patient payments, and reconciling daily deposits.

Required skills and abilities:

  • High level of customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with eClinical Works EMR platform.
  • Computer and telephone skills, with a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm.
  • Ability to walk through various departments and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Maintenance of patient and staff confidentiality (HIPAA and FERPA).
