Overview Manages patient account inquiries and resolves billing discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely account handling. Assists patients in understanding their financial responsibilities and insurance coverage, while coordinating with healthcare providers and insurance companies to verify benefits. Guides patients through payment plans and financial assistance programs, communicates billing policies clearly, and monitors account status to follow up on outstanding balances. Supports the implementation of service improvements and compliance initiatives to enhance patient account management. Responsibilities Key Qualifications • 2+ years of experience in patient billing, customer service, or revenue cycle operations • Knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, and financial counseling • Experience resolving billing discrepancies and managing patient account inquiries • Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-focused approach • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards Qualifications Minimum Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent required • 1+ years of experience in patient financial counseling, medical billing, or a related healthcare setting • Knowledge of insurance coverage, benefits, and payment plan options • Strong communication and customer service skills with a patient-focused approach • Experience resolving billing discrepancies and managing account inquiries • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and patient privacy standards
