Great Salt Plains Health Center is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to support our call room operations. This position is responsible for answering incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and routing patients to the appropriate departments. This position serves as the primary phone contact for patients and is often the first interaction they have with our organization, making this role the voice of our company.
We are seeking motivated individuals who take pride in providing high-quality customer service and can maintain accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Answer high-volume incoming calls in a professional manner
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
- Route calls appropriately to clinical and administrative staff
- Accurately document patient information in the system
- Provide clear and courteous communication to patients
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with policies
- Support clinic operations through reliable attendance and performance
- Resolve routine patient needs efficiently while escalating appropriately when needed.
