Are you looking to make a positive difference in your community much like our devoted Patient Access Specialist at our Giles office? We would love to have you join our growing team at NRVCS!The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for general office functions that support efficient and effective client care including client admissions, insurance verification, and collection of applicable fees, scheduling of outpatient and psychiatric service appointments, and answering phones. Expectations include greeting and checking in individual clients/families; in addition to visitors in a professional manner while working to exceed customer service expectations.One to two years of comparable work experience or an Associate's Degree in a related healthcare/administrative field is preferred.Previous receptionist experience in a medical office setting, healthcare, or insurance setting is preferred.Experience in using scheduling and EHR software and Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.Starting Hourly Rate: $16.26-Depending on ExperienceEducation/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma or GED is required.Experience in using scheduling and EHR software is required.Knowledge of professional administrative and computer skills and demonstrated ability to use designated reference materials and office equipment.Organized, attentive and can follow established standards and procedures.Experience with handling insurance and knowledgeable of insurance terms, billing procedures, and experience in collection of co-pays, deductibles, etc.Excellent customer relations skills and familiarity with confidentiality and HIPAA policiesAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing and able to work with minimal supervisionRequires the ability to utilize good judgment and maintain one's composure in stressful situations.Additional compensation will be considered for any new employees who speak multiple languages
