Overview DaVita is Hiring: We are looking for a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team in an outpatient dialysis center. Dialysis experience is NOT required. This role offers paid, extensive training to care for patients with end-stage renal disease or chronic kidney disease, and the opportunity to join a holistic team of care professionals. When you join DaVita as a Patient Care Technician, you will start with comprehensive training and then work with a team of nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other PCTs to care for our patients. Some Details About This Position: Dialysis experience is not required Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic Potential to float to various clinics during and after your training You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays What You Can Expect Direct patient care in which you spend most of your day providing safe, comfortable, and hygienic dialysis treatment PCTs care for multiple patients Technician duties including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment, recording stats, performing patient observations, and setting up hemodialysis machines Exposure to blood and needles Building long-term relationships with patients and educating them on kidney dialysis topics Cross-functional team collaboration with clinicians, including supervision by an RN Requirements Desire to enter the health care field to care for others in need High school diploma or equivalent Comfort working around blood and needles Comfort mixing acid or bicarbonate Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts 12+ hours) on your feet Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed Health care experience a plus, including BONENT, CHT, CNA, CMA, or Phlebotomy certification What We’ll Provide DaVita rewards package connects teammates to what matters most.
