As a Patient Coordinator, you will serve as the front-line representative, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming environment for all patients. Your role is crucial in coordinating patient appointments, managing records, and facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist patients during their visit, ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Manage scheduling of patient appointments and follow-ups.
  • Verify insurance information and process necessary authorizations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide information to patients regarding services, treatment processes, and insurance inquiries.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care and address any issues that may arise.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree in healthcare administration is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance processes and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with computers and office software.
