Payer Product Strategy enables Health Tech to most effectively allocate resources, both within and across product and channel portfolios, by providing a holistic understanding of our hardware and software products, healthcare markets, insurance dynamics, and opportunities to service customer needs. We translate this into actionable recommendations for long-term product roadmaps and partnerships, and work with Product, Engineering, Partnerships and other cross-functional leaders to maximize impact for Meta.The Health Technology team is seeking an experienced health insurance strategy leader to direct healthcare reimbursement strategy for Metas hardware and software products. The right candidate will be able to lead cross-functional teams to drive alignment on the market, product, reimbursement, partnership strategy and related investments.


Payer Solutions Strategy Lead Responsibilities:

  • Apply to Metas business a deep expertise on the US health insurance market (+ a functional understanding of health insurance in Europe and Asia), and closely monitor consumer, industry, and reimbursement trends in the US for wearable and digital tech
  • Identify new health tech product and commercial opportunities, including dependencies on regulatory, marketing, privacy, product, and engineering
  • Lead cross-functional partners (i.e., product, engineering, marketing, legal, data science) to surface opportunities for reimbursement of Metas hardware and software products in health, outline data-driven strategic decisions, and frame actionable product recommendations and resourcing requirements
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain trusted advisor relationships with AR/VR and Health Tech product and commercial leaders, so that product and partnership recommendations are implemented to realize value for Meta
  • Effectively present and communicate actionable insights and recommendations with regard to health insurance strategy to executives, product and business leaders, and cross-functional partners, in order to influence product roadmap decisions
  • Build a deep understanding of Metas existing hardware and software products and identify healthcare reimbursement opportunities now and in the future
  • Influence the US healthcare industrys approach to reimbursement of novel technologies to improve health outcomes and insurer economics
  • Lead the development of evidence to shape the healthcare industrys perspective on Metas products in partnership with Clinical Research Scientists



Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of US healthcare experience in management consulting, strategy, finance, strategic sales, business operations, banking, or product management with expertise in US health insurers and self-insured employers
  • Expert-level understanding of the US health insurance market (e.g., medical, pharmacy, and wellness benefits), and medical device reimbursement strategies
  • Experience working with products and services to treat chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity)
  • Quantitative, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills combined with proven business acumen
  • Experience structuring and solving strategy and product problems, and influencing business and product decisions to translate insights into action



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (M.D.) and/or masters degree or equivalent in business, marketing, analytics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline (e.g. MBA)
  • 5+ years of project leadership experience at top tier management consulting firms
  • Experience in VP level roles at US health insurance companies
  • Experience working in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment
