We're building more than infrastructure; we are building your future.General SummaryUnder general supervision, this position will perform a wide variety of complex and diverse duties involving the application of standard accounting procedures within the area of Payroll/Benefits in a manner consistent with Company policies and procedures.Essential Job AccountabilitiesPrepare various reports and analysis as needed to support Payroll and Benefits.Prepare, review, and/or post journal entries for accurate recordkeeping.Prepare general ledger account analysis and reconciliation of benefits related general ledger accounts for accurate recordkeeping.Prepare monthly trust reconciliation for retirement plans in order to ensure accuracy of third party vendor reporting.Participate in preparation of retirement plan financial reports to ensure complete reporting.Participate in review of retirement plan annual tax returns to ensure accuracy of reporting.Prepare and maintain benefit accounting records for efficient access to information.Examine, review and interpret benefit accounting records to ensure accuracy.Perform special projects and additional assignments as directed to assist department management.Participate in cross training efforts in order to grow with the Payroll department.EducationBachelors Degree in Accounting or equivalent business related bachelor's degree with equivalent accounting course workWork Experience2 - 5 Years Accounting or related experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesIntermediate computer spreadsheet skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical skillsSelf-motivated team playerAttention to detail and accuracyDeadline drivenCustomer service focusedOccasional travelAbility to work overtime as neededPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
