Payroll & Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist Job Type: Full Time Reports To: Controller About Us Grady Crawford Construction Company, Inc., provides top quality services in telecommunications, pipeline, utilities and industrial/civil construction. Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll/AR Specialist to join our finance team. In this dual role, you will split your time between ensuring our employees are paid accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is a team player, thrives on accuracy, and possesses excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal team members and external clients. Payroll Administration Process end-to-end payroll for employees using Sage CRE. Review and verify timecards, commissions, bonuses, and expense reimbursements. Manage payroll deductions, benefits contributions, garnishments, and tax withholdings. Onboard new hires in the payroll system and handle terminations. Address and resolve employee inquiries regarding paychecks. Pay and file weekly/monthly taxes. Accounts Receivable & Billing Post customer payments by recording cash, checks. Monitor aging AR reports and proactively follow up on overdue accounts via phone and email. Resolve billing discrepancies and issue credits or refunds when necessary. Assist with month-end closing activities, including AR reconciliations. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 2–4 years of experience handling both payroll processing and accounts receivable functions. Education: High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is a plus. Software Proficiency: Strong experience with accounting software Sage CRE. Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Most important – High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential sensitive data. Strong professional communication skills for collection calls and internal support. Laser-sharp attention to detail and data-entry accuracy. What We Offer Salary is based on experience but starting at 40,000 a year.
