Payroll Administrator Apply
This is how you WOW:
- Process bi-weekly (for US) & semi-monthly (for Canada) payroll information for all hourly and salary employees via the ADP Work Force Now (WFN) system, review payroll paperwork for new and current employees and check employee information in the payroll system for accuracy.
- Monitor all payroll-related changes (i.e. 401K, Dental, Medical, Tax, etc.) to employee information on the payroll system and ensure payroll tax information is properly set up for each bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll cycle.
- Input any incoming garnishments, tax levies, bankruptcies, and/or support orders for any employee affected. Responsible for answering agency paperwork.
- Ensure that all internal policies and procedures are being adhered to with regards to payroll processes, wage increases, commission/bonus calculation and other types of compensation issues.
- Responsible for preparing reports for the accounting department pertaining to employee purchases and payments on open invoices.
- Adheres to the strict confidentiality of payroll records, pay rate information, and other wage-related employee issues.
- Maintains employee vacation and sick time (KPTO) accruals in ADP WFN ensuring established guidelines are followed.
- Ensures the process and distribution of W-2/T-4 information to all active and inactive employees is done within the required period of time as governed by law.
- Stays abreast and aware of new laws and regulations regarding payroll and/or tax related issues in the US & Canada.
- Monitor and take corrective action as required regarding state and federal tax accounts.
- Maintains payroll/timekeeping systems and audit/reconciliation of results.
- Assist w/ researching & resolving employee questions/concerns related to paychecks.
It would be WOW if you would bring this in:
- A high school diploma is acceptable, but a college degree is preferred.
- Three to five years experience processing payroll for a company with 500+ employees.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian federal and state payroll regulations.
- Understanding proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
- Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
