Payroll AdministratorClark Construction Group is looking for an enthusiastic, and highly motivated individual who will partner with our Payroll and HR team to deliver high quality service to our operations and business units. Candidates should have 2-4 years payroll experience and are seeking a challenge and growth opportunity. The Payroll Administrator is part of the Craft Payroll team, reporting to the Craft Payroll Supervisor. The Craft Payroll team is responsible for processing a weekly payroll for 2000+ craft employees. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with superior customer service qualities.LocationThis role is primarily based in our McLean, VA HQ office with occasional officing in Bethesda, MD (the training will be in Bethesda). This role requires being in the office Monday - Friday.ResponsibilitiesWeekly full-cycle payroll processingProcessing timecardsUpdating payroll records including earnings, deductions, and tax recordsCreating and generating reports for key stakeholdersProcess and maintain garnishment informationProcess and distribute off cycle checks for terminations, bonuses, etc.Complete various state unemployment audit and employee verification formsComplete monthly Union contributions for a set of UnionsMaintaining and applying union contractsProvide backup for other payroll team membersAssist in department initiatives and system enhancementsBasic Qualifications2+ years payroll experienceMulti-state payroll experienceProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordHigh degree of accuracy with a well-developed attention to detailAbility to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretionProfessional and personable communication skills with all levels of the organizationAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environment while also working in a team oriented, collaborative environmentDedicated to high quality customer service delivery and integrityAbility to multi-task while handling interruptions and changing priorities in a high-volume work environmentPreferred QualificationsUnion and Davis Bacon experienceKnowledge of SpanishExperience in SAP payroll and/or Workday payroll
