TITLE: Payroll Administrator
DEPARTMENT: Finance
CAMPUS: Vacaville
HOURS: Full-Time

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the accurate preparation, documentation, distribution and reconciliation of payroll and the administration of the payroll system.

QUALIFICATIONS (AT THE TIME OF HIRE)

Strong ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of payroll and finance information; previous responsible administrative support experience; good knowledge and use of office, computer, and communication equipment; good knowledge of computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Attention to detail; good organizational skills, ability to prioritize, work well under pressure. Ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate a variety of activities; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; Typically requires 2-4 years of job-related experience and the use of judgment in non-routine matters; must be a member of The Father's House.


Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the Finance Manager


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process and manage all aspects of payroll, including calculating hours, calculating deductions, processing new hires and terminations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely payroll records and reports.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and answer employee questions about payroll and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including tax and labor laws.
  • Keep up to date with changes in payroll regulations and adjust payroll systems and processes accordingly.
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits.
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.


Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000 per year
