We are looking for a skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team in Pittsburg, Kansas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing payroll activities for employees across multiple states, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work in the dynamic manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:
• Process full-cycle payroll for employees across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
• Verify and approve timesheets while maintaining compliance with company policies and labor laws.
• Utilize advanced Excel formulas to analyze payroll data and generate reports.
• Maintain and update payroll systems, including Oracle and Workday, to ensure seamless operations.
• Collaborate with the HR and finance teams to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Monitor and manage timekeeping systems to maintain accurate employee records.
• Provide recommendations for improving payroll processes and implementing best practices.
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to ensure compliance.
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations to maintain accuracy in processing.• Proven experience in payroll administration, preferably in a multi-state environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with payroll systems such as Oracle and Workday.
• Strong understanding of approved timesheets and timekeeping processes.
• Knowledge of payroll compliance and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments.
