Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator to support payroll operations and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage high-volume workloads, and has a strong understanding of payroll processes.
What You’ll Do:
- Review and verify timekeeping data and make necessary adjustments
- Process payroll-related changes, including PTO, vacation, and salary adjustments
- Support bonus programs and calculate commissions
- Audit payroll to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
- Explain payroll details (gross-to-net calculations) to employees as needed
- Manage a high volume of payroll inquiries and provide timely responses
- Generate reports and support ad hoc payroll analysis
- Collaborate cross-functionally and assist with special projects
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience, including multi-state payroll
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process
- Working knowledge of payroll taxes and deductions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Team-oriented, proactive, and self-motivated
Nice to Have:
- Experience with payroll systems such as UKG
- Exposure to SAP Financials
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
