Payroll Manager Key Requirements Over 5 years of comprehensive payroll experience, including a few years in a supervisory or managerial capacity Demonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-state payroll operations Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax reporting, and compliance standards Hands-on experience with in-house payroll systems across multiple states Certification such as CPP is preferred Main Responsibilities Lead end-to-end payroll processing for a sizable, multi-state workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Provide supervision, coaching, and mentoring to the payroll team to meet organizational objectives Oversee payroll tax filings, reconciliation, and annual reporting including W-2s Enforce internal controls aligned with company policies and SOX compliance standards Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to troubleshoot issues and optimize payroll workflows Support system upgrades, enhancements, and testing related to payroll and HR platforms Coordinate with auditors during quarterly and annual reviews, providing necessary documentation Present payroll financial insights and updates to senior leadership to inform decision-making Perks & Benefits Competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience Opportunity for performance-based bonuses Flexible remote work options Generous paid time off: three weeks of vacation, one week sick leave, with accrual increases Company-sponsored phone stipend Opportunities for career growth within a supportive team environment Ready to elevate your payroll leadership and contribute to a thriving organization?
