Key Responsibilities Process accurate and timely multi‑state payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses. Manage and reconcile timekeeping systems, ensuring proper approval and adherence to company policies and labor laws. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements. Administer and process all payroll deductions, including benefits, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions. Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for financial reporting. Generate and distribute various payroll reports for management, HR, and finance departments. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and time‑keeping in a professional and timely manner. Recommended Qualifications 3–5 years of full‑cycle payroll processing experience, with a focus on hourly, non‑exempt employees in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proven experience with automated time‑keeping systems and processing complex payroll calculations, including overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses. Proficiency with major payroll software (e.g., ADP, UKG, Paychex) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Strong understanding of federal and state payroll laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and multi‑state wage and hour regulations. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information. Bonus Qualifications Experience with time & attendance systems common in manufacturing environments (e.g., UKG/Kronos, ADP Workforce Now Time). Familiarity with payroll regulations specific to manufacturing, such as shift differentials, piece‑rate pay, or union contracts. Proficiency in creating custom payroll reports and analyzing labor cost data. Experience processing multi‑state payroll for a distributed workforce.
