Payroll Specialist (Accounting)Our client is seeking a contract to hire Payroll Specialist near the North Hollywood area.Title: Payroll Specialist (Accounting)Location: Near North HollywoodSchedule: Monday-Friday (onsite)Hours: 8am-5pmPayroll OperationsMaintain and manage payroll records within the UKG payroll systemProcess scheduled payrolls, review reports, and verify accuracy prior to transmissionPrepare and issue manual checks as requiredCalculate and administer benefit deductions, garnishments, and other earningsResearch, resolve, and document payroll discrepanciesAudit payroll activity to identify and correct processing errorsInvestigate and resolve misdirected or incorrect payments and coordinate correctionsManage all employee timecards, including reconciliation and approvalProvide timekeeping training and ongoing support to employees and managersPrepare and submit payroll-related state filingsPrepare and upload payroll journal entries to NetSuiteCompliance & ReportingInterpret and process wage garnishments, child support orders, and tax levies in compliance with applicable regulationsTrack and monitor payroll-related performance metrics across the organizationSupport Workers' Compensation and insurance filings and ongoing maintenanceManage 401(k) and HSA contributions, reconciliations, and documentationAssist with annual 401(k) audits as neededAccounting SupportAssist with general accounting operations, including accounts payable, employee expenses, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenanceSupport month-end close activitiesRespond to accounting-related inquiries from employees with accuracy and professionalismAdditional ResponsibilitiesAssist with weekly and monthly accounting tasks as assignedPerform other duties as needed to support business operationsQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of payroll administration and accounting-related experienceExperience with UKG experience a mustStrong analytical, organizational, and research skillsHigh level of attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving mindsetAbility to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentialityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong customer service orientationAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookDemonstrated systems and IT aptitude, including the ability to translate business needs into functional solutionsPay Details: $35.00 per hourSearch managed by: Cynthia VarelaBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
