Payroll Specialist Apply
Payroll Specialist Burgettstown Area School District, a small rural school district in Washington County, Pa., is seeking a qualified Payroll Specialist to join the District Business Office. This is a 12-month confidential position reporting directly to the Business Manager. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing district payroll in an accurate and timely manner and maintaining payroll records in compliance with district policies, contracts, and applicable regulations. Duties include calculating wages and deductions, preparing payroll reports, coordinating benefits and retirement reporting (PSERS), reconciling payroll accounts, assisting with audits, and responding to employee payroll inquiries. The position requires strict confidentiality and attention to detail. Qualifications High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred. Experience in payroll, accounting, or school business office operations preferred. Strong organizational, mathematical, and computer skills.
