Doeren Mayhew is seeking a full-time Payroll Specialist in the Fredonia, NY office. The Payroll Specialist will also be assisting with bookkeeping duties for clients. This position requires one to work in the office Monday through Friday. Payroll Responsibilities Process client payroll using Asure Evolution Payroll. Perform accurate and timely data input for payroll cycles. Review payroll entries proactively and identify potential errors or inconsistencies. Set up and complete direct deposits for client payrolls. Manage recurring weekly payroll responsibilities. Support quarter-end and tax-season activities. Work with a diverse portfolio of clients ranging in size and industry. Bookkeeping Responsibilities Process checks and post deposits using QuickBooks. Perform bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner. Assist with general bookkeeping tasks to support accurate financial records. Qualifications 2+ years of payroll and/or bookkeeping experience required. Associate’s degree in business administration or accounting preferred. Ability to work in the office Monday through Friday. Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Adobe. Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi‑task and prioritize work. Strong organization and communication skills. Ability to work independently and with a team.
