We are seeking a Payroll Professional to join our team and manage payroll functions with precision and efficiency. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD (100% Onsite)

Salary: $52,000 - $56,000 per year

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

·        Process payroll twice a month (semi-monthly) for employees using Paylocity.

·        Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

·        Manage timekeeping, deductions, benefits, and tax filings.

·        Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

·        Prepare reports and reconcile payroll data for audits and internal reviews.

·        Assist with onboarding new hires in the payroll system and ensure proper documentation.

·        Stay updated on payroll laws and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Requirements

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a government contracting or professional services environment.
    • Proficiency with Paylocity is required.
    • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
    • High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
