Pay Range: $33.65 to $36.05/hour

JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Payroll Manager, performs payroll processing for all Masonic Entities (Grand Lodge, Foundation, Masonic Homes and Acacia Creek) and communicates to the Payroll Manager all problems and concerns relating to Payroll.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Processes semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll
- Reviews /verifies timekeeping information for all employees in Kronos. Follow up managers for any exceptions.
- Reviews, analyzes and verifies payroll reports and documents for accuracy before processing.
- Researches, analyzes and resolves difficult or advanced technical problems or questions related to payroll.
- Coordinates and interacts with federal and state agencies on specialized issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions.
- Coordinates schedules and conducts training sessions, if needed, to explain and/or update information regarding payroll and timekeeping policies and procedures
- Responds verbally or in writing to payroll-related inquiries, complaints or problems
- Works with HR to maintain accurate payroll and employee records.
- Assists with the quarterly PBJ report
- Distributes employee paystub
- Assists with external audits, special projects and admin tasks related to Payroll
- Performs other tasks assigned by the Payroll Manager
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Competent in the creation and use of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel), use of word processing (Microsoft Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Must be extremely well-organized and with great attention to detail and confidentiality
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Working knowledge in Workday and ADP a plus
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/LICENSES/CERTIFICATES
Any combination of education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge and abilities listed, typically:
- AA degree in accounting or business, or equivalent and at least two years of experience in Payroll processing
