Payroll Specialist Apply
About the Role We are partnering with one of our clients in the West Covina area who is looking to bring on a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong experience processing high-volume payroll accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Process high-volume, multi-state payroll on a regular basis (weekly/biweekly) Ensure accuracy of payroll data including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions Maintain and audit payroll records, timekeeping data, and employee information Handle payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments as needed Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and deductions Support payroll reporting and reconciliation, including general ledger tie-outs Partner with HR and Accounting teams on payroll-related processes and improvements Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of high-volume payroll processing experience (required) Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred) High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Vaco by Highspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected characteristic as required by law.
