Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $30.00 to $40.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare quarterly and annual payroll tax reconciliations, including W-2 audits and filings

  • Research employee tax profiles, including address validation and multistate withholding requirements

  • Manage routine payroll processing tasks with attention to accuracy and compliance

  • Handle payroll tax inquiries by investigating issues and providing timely resolutions

  • Process tax-related adjustments in payroll systems such as ADP Vantage when necessary

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in payroll tax or a related accounting role

  • At least 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with HRIS platforms

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Prior experience supporting payroll audits and off-cycle payroll activities

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for resolving tax discrepancies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

  • High attention to detail to ensure accurate tax calculations and reporting
