Scripps Mercy Hospital consists of two campuses in San Diego and Chula Vista.
Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will;
\n- \n
- Provide excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team. \n
- \n
- Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment. \n
- Assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician. \n
- Support the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties. \n
Preferred:
\n- \n
- CNA certification preferred. \n
- Multiple patient care skills preferred. \n
- One-year acute care experience preferred. \n
Required:
\n- \n
- One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider OR \n
- current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school OR \n
- current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals. \n
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instruction in English. \n
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude. \n
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider \n
