About the Role:
This is a contract position offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment, serving the pediatric needs of the community. The role includes responsibilities both in inpatient and outpatient settings, with occasional night call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Inpatient Care:
- Provide patient care in Pediatric Ward, Labor, Level 2 Nursery, and Delivery/Post-partum ward.
- Daily evaluation, treatment, and documentation of inpatients, including well newborns.
- Admit and discharge patients as appropriate and consult with other specialists and departments as needed.
Outpatient Care:
- Evaluate and treat patients in the pediatric clinic.
- Ensure completion of patient notes and documentation before the end of the day.
On-Call Duties:
- Participate in night call approximately 2 to 4 times per month, depending on departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Pediatrics.
- Valid medical license in the state of New Mexico.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a healthcare setting with physicians.
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Skills in Medicine, Pediatrics, and Neonatology.
