Job Summary:
Pediatric Echo Tech, will play a crucial role in diagnosing and monitoring cardiac conditions in infants and children. Will utilize advanced echocardiography equipment to perform non-invasive cardiac imaging, working closely with pediatric cardiologists to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic results.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality echocardiographic studies on pediatric patients, including infants and children of various ages.
- Ensure accurate and efficient imaging to assist in the diagnosis and management of cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists to interpret results and provide detailed reports.
- Maintain and troubleshoot echocardiography equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Educate and comfort patients and their families, providing clear explanations of procedures and addressing any concerns.
- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, or a related field.
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with a specialization in Pediatric Echocardiography required.
- BLS required
- Previous 2-3 years of experience in pediatric echocardiography is required.
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and pathology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with young patients and their families.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
