Job Title: PeopleSoft Administrator
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain PeopleSoft environments (e.g., PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft Finance).
- Perform regular system monitoring and ensure high availability, stability, and security of PeopleSoft applications.
- Perform software upgrades and patches to PeopleSoft environments while ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage PeopleSoft databases, ensuring proper performance, optimization, and security protocols.
- Maintain PeopleSoft application security roles, profiles, and permissions.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PeopleSoft applications, middleware, and database performance.
- Provide Tier 2 and 3 support to end-users and resolve technical issues related to PeopleSoft.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to troubleshoot issues related to servers, databases, and networking.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular system health checks.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies to enhance system performance.
- Regularly apply patches and updates to PeopleSoft applications to ensure system security and functionality.
- Document and test patches to ensure they do not affect existing operations.
- Implement and manage regular backup procedures for PeopleSoft databases and application files.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Work with functional and technical teams to implement business process changes and enhancements.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide training and support for junior administrators and end-users when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with PeopleSoft administration (PeopleTools, PeopleSoft HCM, Financials, or similar modules).
- Proficiency in SQL, application server administration, and web server configuration.
- Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience with Oracle databases, including installation, backup, and performance tuning.
- Knowledge of operating systems such as Unix, Linux, or Windows Server.
- Experience with PeopleSoft version upgrades and patching processes.
- Knowledge of cloud-based deployments or hybrid environments.
- PeopleSoft certification (e.g., PeopleSoft Certified Administrator) is a plus.
- Experience in automated deployment tools and scripting languages.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
