Shift: Days | Monday Friday (Varied), On-call Rotation, One Sunday Morning per Month

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team in Grand Junction, CO. This role is responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies and delivering accurate, timely diagnostic data to support physician decision-making. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, highly detail-oriented, and committed to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a professional and compassionate manner; verify patient identity, date of birth, ordered exam, diagnosis, and referring provider's order.

  • Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation within EMR and PACS systems.

  • Perform a wide range of echocardiographic procedures including:

    • 2D Doppler

    • Color Flow Doppler

    • M-Mode

    • Transesophageal Echocardiography with 3D

    • Contrast-enhanced studies (e.g., Definity)

    • Bubble Studies

    • Stress Echocardiography

  • Clean and disinfect ultrasound equipment and surrounding areas after each exam; restock supplies as needed.

  • Collaborate closely with team members, physicians, caregivers, and students in a supportive clinical environment.

  • Participate in limited weekend and holiday on-call rotation (details to be discussed during interview).

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field.

  • Current registration with ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in a hospital or clinical echocardiography setting.

  • Familiarity with EMR and PACS systems.
