Job Title: Perm - Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Rate: $22.23 $27.37/hour + Full Benefits
Shift: 80 Hours per 2-Week Pay Period (Days)
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at the Minnetonka Clinic plays a critical role in managing patient flow and supporting providers in the delivery of individualized care across a diverse patient population, including infants through geriatrics. Working under the direction of the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers, the CMA performs both clinical and clerical tasks in accordance with Blaze Health's scope of practice, as guided by the Minnesota Board of Nursing and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Primary Responsibilities: Clinical Care:-
Conduct standard rooming procedures and assist in patient intake.

Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed.

Perform laboratory specimen collection and basic clinic laboratory tests.

Support communication between patients and providers.

Assist with prescription refills and telephone triage.

Perform phlebotomy and, if certified, x-ray procedures as needed.

Provide front desk and check-in support.

Assist with supply management and inventory.

Support prior authorization processes.

Participate in overall clinic workflow optimization and patient experience initiatives.

Maintain proficiency in all delegated tasks in the CMA scope of practice.

Participate in required competency evaluations and ongoing training.

Report concerns or violations to the appropriate compliance channels.
Education:
-
High School diploma or GED Required

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Required

Certified Medical Assistant credential from a recognized organization Required
Experience:
-
Previous clinical experience in a healthcare setting Required

Primary care experience Required

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Required

Passed x-ray operator's exam or willingness to complete if needed Preferred
Certifications:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required
