Position Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team in Robbinsdale, MN. This role supports efficient patient flow and assists providers in delivering care across a wide range of age groups-from infants to geriatrics. The CMA focuses on collaborative, delegated clinical and administrative tasks as defined by the Blaze Health Medical Assistant scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties:
  • Perform standard rooming procedures

  • Administer immunizations, injections, and medications as directed

  • Collect laboratory specimens

  • Perform clinic-based lab tests and phlebotomy duties

  • Support x-ray procedures (if x-ray certified or willing to certify)

  • Assist with prescription refills and telephone communication with patients

  • Serve as liaison between patients and providers

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Administrative & Compliance:
  • Maintain skill proficiency and complete required competencies

  • Protect patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations

  • Report compliance concerns via established protocols

  • Participate in quality and regulatory processes

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program Required

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Required

  • Passed x-ray operator exam or willingness to complete if required by clinic

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a clinical setting Required

Certifications:

  • Current BLS Certification Required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with EMR and general computer applications

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
