Rate: $112,000.00 $151,000.00 annually + Full Benefits

Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager and the supervision of the Lead Interventional Radiology Technologist, the Interventional Technologist (IR Tech) performs advanced imaging procedures with a focus on Interventional Radiology. This role requires a Diagnostic Technologist who is cross-trained in IR and capable of working independently without direct supervision. The IR Tech assumes responsibility for assigned clinical areas and supports the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures following established protocols and safety guidelines.

  • Assist physicians during complex interventional procedures by operating imaging equipment and managing sterile fields.

  • Ensure proper patient positioning, equipment preparation, and radiation safety practices.

  • Maintain accurate patient records and document procedure details.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and radiology staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.

  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and departmental goals.

Education / Training / Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current California Radiologic Technologist Certification (CRT)

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • ARRT and Fluoroscopy Permit (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two (2) years of experience in diagnostic X-ray

  • Previous interventional radiology experience

  • One (1) year of experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist in an acute care setting

  • ARRT Advanced Level Interventional Certification (Cardiovascular Interventional Technology)
