Shift Info: 5:00 AM 1:30 PM | 3 4 days per week

Position Summary

As a Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a critical role in enhancing the quality of life for patients with chronic kidney disease. You'll manage a caseload of patients while working alongside patient care technicians to monitor vital signs, manage dialysis treatments, and provide patient-centered care. This role focuses on building meaningful relationships with patients and their families to provide compassionate, consistent, and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise dialysis treatments and patient care activities with the support of patient care technicians.

  • Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.

  • Set up and operate dialysis machines, ensuring all procedures are followed correctly.

  • Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.

  • Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions.

  • Educate patients and families about treatment options, dialysis procedures, and ongoing care plans.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR).

  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Adhere to all infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • May be required to work some weekends or be available for on-call rotation as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program
    (A BSN or diploma from an accredited RN program is also acceptable)

  • Active, unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse License

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in dialysis, ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg nursing
