Job Title: Perm Respiratory Therapist
Location: Fayetteville, NC 28304
Salary Range: $47,736.00 $65,520.00 + Full Benefits
Shift Info: Full-Time | Nights | 36 hours per week

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients across all age groups, in accordance with department protocols. This includes administering all respiratory care modalities, responding to emergencies, and ensuring accurate and timely documentation. The therapist may serve as the charge therapist when required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures per established protocols.

  • Respond promptly to respiratory and resuscitation emergencies.

  • Ensure proper documentation in patient charts and department systems.

  • Maintain, calibrate, and operate respiratory care equipment safely and effectively.

  • Act as charge therapist when assigned, overseeing daily department operations.

  • Provide age-appropriate care by understanding psychosocial and developmental needs.

  • Adhere to infection control and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members for optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and current respiratory care practices

  • Ability to remain calm and perform effectively in high-stress or emergency situations

  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, move patients, and transport equipment

  • Familiarity with developmental stages and care needs across the lifespan

  • Knowledge of infection prevention and safety practices
