_{We are seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist to lead and support infection prevention and control efforts across SEARHC facilities. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards, supports organizational training and education initiatives, and plays a critical role in maintaining a safe healthcare environment for patients, staff, and visitors.}

_{Infection Prevention Program Management}

• _{Develop, implement, and maintain SEARHC's Infection Prevention and Control Plan in alignment with CDC, OSHA, FDA, TJC, and APIC standards.}

• _{Write and update infection prevention policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory guidelines.}

_{Data & Reporting}

• _{Collect, analyze, and report infection control data and statistics.}

• _{Submit required data to regulatory agencies such as NHSN.}

• _{Provide surveillance support and reporting for all SEARHC locations.}

_{Training & Education}

• _{Facilitate infection prevention training for employees, patients, families, and community members.}

• _{Conduct new hire and annual infection control orientation.}

• _{Serve as a subject matter expert and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices.}

_{Leadership & Collaboration}

• _{Act as a liaison and role model across the organization.}

• _{Co-chair the Infection Prevention and Control Committee.}

• _{Participate in related committees and cross-functional teams.}

• _{Travel to various SEARHC sites to provide education and assessments.}

_{Other Duties}

• _{Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of organizational goals.}

_Education

• _{Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field (Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, etc.) required.}

• _{Master's degree (e.g., MPH, MSN) preferred.}

_{Certifications}

• _{Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required within 6 months of hire or upon eligibility.}

• _{Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.}

• _{Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of hire and maintained biannually.}

_Experience

• _{Minimum of 3 years' experience in infection control, acute care, data collection, or performance improvement.}

• _{Experience in long-term care IPC and knowledge of epidemiological/statistical analysis is a plus.}

• _{Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association}

• _{Certification in Infection Control (CIC) CBIC}

• _{Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) NAHQ}
