Shift:7:00 PM 7:30 AM | 3x12-hour shifts/week | 36 hours guaranteed Position Overview:
Under general supervision, the Med/Surg Registered Nurse provides total nursing care to patients within a designated unit, following the facility's philosophy, nursing standards, and physician directions. This role ensures continuity of care, collaborates with other healthcare departments, and actively participates in staff education, policy updates, and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:-
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a 6-patient assignment per shift.

Utilize Allscripts Paragon EMR for accurate documentation.

Administer medications, injections, and vaccinations; monitor and interpret vital signs.

Collaborate with 2 Licensed Medical Assistants (LMAs) assigned per floor.

Float between units as needed, without hesitation.

Participate in a 4 6 week orientation before floor assignment.

Ensure compliance with ANA standards and specialty-specific nursing practices.

Maintain professional relationships across shifts and departments.

Follow facility protocols for safety, documentation, and clinical accuracy.

Strong LMA support

Robust hands-on training provided prior to independent shifts

Active or temporary NH RN license (Required)

ASN accepted, BSN preferred

EMR experience required (Allscripts Paragon preferred)

Ability to read and interpret telemetry/monitor strips preferred

Experience in injections, vaccinations, and patient monitoring required

Willingness to float across units as needed

BLS (AHA) Required
