Rate: $36.50/hour $51.38/hour + Full Benefits
Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Weekend/On-Call Requirements: TBD

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide both hands-on clinical care and unit leadership during night shifts. This role includes overseeing nursing staff, managing patient assignments, coordinating with interdisciplinary departments, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality care environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Function as a clinical/staff RN with a limited patient assignment (1 3 patients).

  • Oversee and support LPNs, RNs, and LNAs; delegate care responsibilities appropriately.

  • Create and adjust nursing assignments based on patient acuity, admissions, and discharges.

  • Coordinate staff breaks and assist nursing staff with direct patient care as needed.

  • Monitor lab and diagnostic results, follow up on referrals, and coordinate with departments like pharmacy, lab, and radiology.

  • Provide performance feedback to the Nurse Manager and address conflicts or issues in real time.

  • Review documentation for timeliness and accuracy.

  • Act as a liaison between nursing units and hospital management to manage patient flow (admissions, discharges, transfers).

  • Serve as the house supervisor during off-hours (nights, weekends, holidays), managing bed availability and communication across departments.

  • Coordinate patient transfers to/from other facilities, including communication with external hospitals and the administrator on call.

Qualifications:
  • Licensure: Active NH Registered Nurse License Required

  • Certification: BLS (AHA) Required

  • Experience:

    • 3 5 years of relevant clinical RN experience Required

    • Prior Charge Nurse or supervisory experience Preferred
