Job Title: Permanent Social Worker IDD Psychologist
Location: Southgate, MI
Salary Range: $62,536 $84,610 + Full Benefits
Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM (including 4 hours per week after 5:00 PM)
Weekend Requirements: TBD
We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Psychologist specializing in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to join our Southgate, MI team. The IDD Psychologist is responsible for conducting psychological evaluations, interpreting psychometric assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering direct services such as counseling, behavior modification, and crisis intervention. This role plays a key part in supporting individuals with IDD and their families by promoting mental health, stability, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:-
Conduct and interpret psychological evaluations using standardized instruments

Deliver direct counseling and behavioral support services to individuals and families

Develop treatment goals and case service plans in accordance with Person-Centered Planning principles

Provide staff training and consultation specific to individual client needs

Participate in crisis intervention, intake assessments, and biopsychosocial evaluations

Create documentation and reports for guardianship hearings, eligibility determinations, and case reviews

Maintain clinical documentation in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards

Provide consultation and collaboration across interdisciplinary teams

Participate in at least 24 hours of job-specific training annually

Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited institution Required

Valid TLLP or LLP license in Psychology from the State of Michigan Required

Minimum 8 months of experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities Required

Minimum 1 year of experience in evaluating and treating minors and families Required

Must obtain Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) and Children's Mental Health Professional (CMHP) credentials within 120 days of hire Required

Must pass MDHHS Central Registry and Police clearances Required

Experience with psychological instruments such as WAIS, WISC, Vineland, ADOS, and ADIR Preferred
