Responsibilities
- Review and process permit applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide information and guidance to applicants regarding the permitting process.
- Coordinate with various departments to assess and process permits in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records and databases related to permits and applications.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for public records.
- Address and resolve inquiries and concerns from the public in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with city regulations, codes, and ordinances.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in planning, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience in permit processing or a similar administrative role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting procedures.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and adjust priorities as needed.
