We are seeking an experienced and skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our team in Greenbrae, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating PET/CT scanners to perform high-quality imaging procedures, ensuring accurate diagnostics for oncological, neurological, and cardiac conditions. The PET/CT Technologist will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers to deliver excellent care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Duties- Perform PET/CT imaging procedures for patients, ensuring high-quality images for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents, adhering to safety protocols and maintaining patient safety.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients and accurate scanning to obtain the necessary diagnostic images.
- Analyze and evaluate PET/CT images for quality, identifying any artifacts or abnormalities that may impact diagnosis.
- Provide patients with clear instructions, preparing them for the imaging procedures and ensuring their comfort throughout.
- Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret results and provide comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging results and medical histories.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and quality control standards in imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PET/CT equipment, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with advances in PET/CT technology and imaging techniques.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PET/CT Technologist or related imaging role.
- Experience in performing PET/CT scans for oncology, neurology, and cardiology.
- Familiarity with PET/CT equipment, radiopharmaceuticals, and contrast agents.
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and patient care procedures.
- Experience with PACS systems and electronic health records (EHRs).
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or related field.
- Certification as a PET/CT Technologist (ARRT, or equivalent).
- Active state licensure in the applicable state, if required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
