You may also be paired with trainees to help them complete their certifications and hands-on training.
This position does not follow a traditional 8 5 schedule; hours may vary based on workload and customer demand.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair gasoline dispensing units (e.g., Gilbarco, Dresser Wayne, Gasboy, Bennett).
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic Point-of-Sale (POS) systems (e.g., VeriFone, Gilbarco, NCR).
- Install, program, and test new petroleum equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems.
- Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance on fueling systems.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining technical issues in clear, non-technical language.
Experience, Competencies, and Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining gasoline dispensing units, including dispenser hydraulics and submerged pump units.
- Valid dispenser certification(s).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift 50 75 lbs and travel locally on a daily basis.
