Your New Role
We have a very exciting and unique opportunity to join us in Florida as an F-35 Joint Strike Fighter PFE Field Engineer for the Pilot Fit Facility operations.
You will ensure that all Pilot Flight Equipment (PFE) utilised below the neck is serviced, in working order and properly fitted.
If you have previous experience in military service-related Aircrew Flight Equipment, and you want to be out in the field rather than stuck in one place, this role may be just what you are looking for!
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
Meet scheduled pilots for fitting pilot flight equipment including sizing and measuring
Updating documentation data base systems of pilot flight equipment records and sizing data while monitoring progress
Meet all contractual obligations of the Performance Base Logistic (PBL) contract
All tasks are to be accomplished in accordance with JSF PFE Maintenance Plan
Ensure pilot flight equipment is ready for issue to meet Pilot Fitting Schedules
Ensure comfort, safety, quality, and functionality of the pilot flight equipment as required for integration into the F-35 ejection seat
Proficient in sewing flight clothing using industrial sewing machines, use of hot tape machines, and able to perform functional pressure test of devices required for operational test
Maintain inventory of pilot flight equipment
Ensure job role-specific disciplines of standards, such as but not limited to ISO9001, are maintained
Other duties as assigned by the JSF Pilot Fit Facility Manager

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
Significant experience in military service-related Aircrew Flight Equipment as well as graduate of military flight equipment training course
Educated to high school level or above
Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
Skilled in all methods of verbal, oral and written communication using English language
Take initiative to identify and solve problems
The ability to identify potential risks and issues
