Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Pharmacist role offers the opportunity to provide critical pharmaceutical care across three distinct pharmacy locations within a respected medical system. The position requires floating between the hospital pharmacy, a satellite hospital, and an infusion center pharmacy, delivering a variety of services including hazardous medication handling and chemotherapy compounding. Candidates must be adaptable to variable shift schedules and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and medication accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services at three different locations: main hospital pharmacy, satellite hospital pharmacy, and infusion center
- Dispense medications accurately and safely, including hazardous medications such as chemotherapy agents
- Float seamlessly across locations to ensure continuous pharmacy coverage
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards
- Manage inventory and medication storage procedures effectively
- Work flexible hours including 8- and 10-hour shifts, swing shifts, every other weekend, and holidays as required
- Utilize or learn Cerner pharmacy software system for medication management
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Active pharmacist license in the state
- Prior experience as a staff pharmacist, preferably in hospital or infusion pharmacy settings
- Familiarity with Cerner pharmacy information system preferred; training available for the right candidate
- Skilled in compounding chemotherapy and handling hazardous drugs safely
- Ability and willingness to travel between 3 pharmacy locations within the system
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Local candidates preferred due to travel requirements between sites
